Trip Highlights
South Coast – Aliwal Shoal:- Durban's South coast boasts some of the best waves and beaches in Durban, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Here, you are bound to get some of the best waves in Natal. If you're not surfing, you can take a Whale and Dolphin watching boat trip or visit the local Croc World. Port Shepstone:- Port Shepstone not only offers great surf and white sand beaches but it is the perfect stop off on the way to the Wild Coast. The waves here are consistant and there are loads of breaks to choose from so you know you will be getting waves. Take a microlight flight along the coast of Port Shepstone or get adventurous at Oribi Gorge, the spectacular forest-cloaked ravine of the Mzimkulwana River. The Oribi Gorge offers activities such as water rafting, the wild slide, the wild swing, and abseiling. Wild Coast / Transkei:- The Transkei is Swell Tours main destination and for good reason! The Wild Coast offers world class waves and beaches. When you out in the Transkei Ocean you then know you are surrounded by Africa. Things here are the way they used to be all over South Africa, where culture is strong, living is simple and the locals are in high spirits. The untouched land makes for a picturesque view while chilling on the beach, fishing on the river or having sundowners on the river bank. Justin Sanders, your guide will take you to several surf breaks and secret beaches along the Wild Coast making sure you get waves everyday! No one knows the Transkei like Justin Sanders. The surf breaks around the Transkei vary in size and power, point breaks and beach breaks. Justin will assess your level of surfing and then decide which breaks are best for you. There is a wave for everyone, from beginners to professionals! Other activities when not surfing include the well known Hole in the Wall, local craft markets, secret beaches, fishing, tanning and get a taste of some traditional dance and drumming. So yes, those who don’t surf will still have plenty to do! When travelling this part of the world, the community is really what makes your experience unforgettable. The Wild Coast is a Xhosa community made up of many tribes. You will experience the way the Xhosa people live and you will learn all about their culture and beliefs. Durban:- Durban has a vast variety of waves all along it’s beautiful coast where Justin will guide you to the best spots depending on the conditions of the day. Some well known spots are New Pier, Bay, Snake Park, Umhlanga, Umdloti, and Balito. Durban offers a great night life with excellent restaurants, pubs and clubs. Imfolozi Game Reserve:- Imfolozi / Hluhluwe Game Reserve is the oldest reserve in South Africa and is the only under formal conservation in KwaZulu Natal where the Big 5 occur. We will take you on a game drive in the morning, have lunch out in the wild and then have a guided night drive to experience the Big 5 once the sun goes down.Price Details
