Surfing Holiday in G Land

Welcome to G-Land, know by surfers as one of the best surf spots on this planet. Perfect line ups, tropical water and fresh, good food. A surf trip to G-Land is an un-forgettable surf experience. During the high season it is not uncommon for headhigh waves to break for hundreds of meters on a BAD day!

The surf camp is located is set amongst a National Park called "Alas Purwo" and is open March to November and located just off the beach line, directly in front of the famous section of reef known as Speedies.

Surfing in Java is not for beginners, but intermediate surfers will find themselves in heaven. Long waves peel down different sections of the bay, all backed by lush jungle. Itinerary / Highlights

G-Land is arguably one of the world's best left-hander, reputed for its established offshore trade winds. From March to November, the Southern Indian Ocean generates strong, long period swells, providing G-Land with one of the world's most consistent breaks. There are seven breaks in G-Land and the four most famous ones are Kong, Money Trees, launching pad and Speedies.

Kong's is the first surf spot, way up the point and very rarely drops below headhigh, a slower mellower break compared to what waits down the line, Kong's produces long workable walls, that yes can connect with the next section a couple of hundred yards down the three, Money Tree's.

Money Tree's is the most consistently surfed section of the reef. Famous for its fast workable walls and emerald green, almond shaped barrels. More protected by seasonal trades than Kong's. It sheer beauty winds down the reef for another couple of hudred yards before the real magic begins.

Launch Pads is the name given for the take off point leading into Speedies, which could lead you into one of your longest barrels ever. Famous for its long spinning barrels, Speedies is G-Land, and if you score it on its day, you'll understand why.

Your stay with us in Java will be in a traditional bungalow style accommodation which is strongly constructed to facilitate the unique lifestyle of most surfing adventurers who love being in the jungle and nature.

The surf camp is in free standing thatched bungalows which sleep two adults and are equipped with double or two single beds with mosquito nets, bed side light, small table inside the room, cool fan, private balcony, comfortable terrace seat, table, water dispenser and board racks.

There is a separate amenities block with flush toilets and fresh water showers in all bath-room. The central relaxation house features a bar with cold beer, and soft drinks like coke. A dining room, leather lounge plus a 36 inch TV with surround sound stereo system to enjoy the latest movies and most prominent channels transmitted by satellite dish. This area also has 2 large pool tables, table football, tennis table, and many more.

A zodiac boat will take surfers swiftly to the breaks or line-up at high-tide. At low tide you can even walk across the reef and paddle. Other non-surfing activities include fishing, snorkeling, sun-bathing, beach combing, snorkeling, diving, volley ball, jungle trekking, and bicycling. Rental gears for fishing and bicycling are also available.

All surfing holidays to G-Land are fully-catered for and are a highlight of any guest's visit to G-Land surf camp. All drinks, including beer is included in the price of your stay. The daily menu is a good mix of western and Indonesian dishes and very substantial to revitalize your energy.
