Itinerary / Highlights
Trip stops:-1) Kommetjie (Cape Town) - 9 days
Cape Town is the perfect introduction to South Africa. As well as being one of the most vibrant cities in the world, Cape Town is home to some spectacular surfing possibilities not to mention some of the world's most beautiful beaches. We will be working with The Kahuna Surfing Academy, one of South Africa's top surf schools. Together with the KSA and their other highly qualified coaches we will give you the ultimate introduction to South African Surfing helping you master the basics and feel comfortable in the water.
2) Plettenberg Bay - 7 days
Plettenberg Bay is a small holiday town with a big personality and a popular stop for travellers on the famous Garden Route. Staying in Albergos for Backpackers, you will have the opportunity to get to know other travellers around the open braai (Barbeque South African style) lit every evening.
3) Jeffreys Bay - 10 days
Jeffrey's Bay perfectly encapsulates all that is Ticket to Ride. With World Class surf on our doorstep and some really good community projects all a short walk away; our 2 weeks in Jeffrey's Bay are one of the many highlights of the trip.
4) Coffee Bay - 7 days
As you drive north from East London the houses slowly disappear and the countryside opens up into the Transkei. This is a magical part of South Africa so often overlooked by the travelling tourists eager to press on up to Durban. Home to Nelson Mandela, the Transkei is unrecognisable to the cosmopolitan cities of Cape Town and Durban. Made up of small, traditional African settlements, rolling green hills and breathtaking empty beaches, the Transkei will take you back to the Africa of 100 years ago. This is the real Africa and those that venture in will be rewarded with memories that will last a lifetime.
5) Balitto (North Durban) - 9 days
Ballito is a 45-minute drive north of Durban and is an affluent ocean side community famed as a popular holiday destination for South Africa's rich and famous.
