This trip caters for beginner's to the advanced and our Surf NZ trained guides will use their local knowledge to find the waves that best suit your ability. In NZ there are many beaches with difficult access with perfect waves going unridden every day. One of the best destinations is Gt Barrier Island. It's a short 30 minute flight from Auckland and offers 5 very good uncrowded surf breaks. This is the ultimate in surf exploration!

Leaving from the Heletranz base in Albany you will get a thrilling helicopter ride exploring the city and Waitakere Ranges en-route to Muriwai Beach. We will view the Gannet colony before flying down the coast to meet the N Z Surf 'n' Snow Tours ground team. Get ready for an afternoon of fun and surfing. Your experienced team will provide surf lessons, surfboards wetsuits and digital photo's of the day. We can organize a BBQ, drinks or even visit the hot pools on the way home. Your return to the city will be onboard the N Z Surf 'n' SnowTours bus.
