Costa Rica has surf on both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, but it is the Pacific side that attracts surfers from across the globe. With 755 miles of coastline on two oceans, Costa Rica has more breaks than you can shake a stick at. The country's selection of surf spots range from idyllic beach breaks to coral platforms where the water leaps up and tubes like a miniature Pipeline. The water temperature in Costa Rica ranges from 28c to 30c year round, no wetsuits needed!

Itinerary

Our surf school in Costa Rica is run by ex-pat George and his team. Fully qualified under the British Surfing Association coaching scheme, George has been surfing in and around Costa Rica since 1992.

The surf school beach is over a mile long, sand bottom and palm tree lined, and with the water temperature at 30c this is the most ideal, learn to surf destination.

All equipment is updated every year and includes boards for all levels from beginner to professional.

Accommodation Details

The accommodation used in the Gold option is in our self-catering shared house, nestled away in it's own private land, only 200 meters from the surf.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen, hot shower, toilet, garden and hammocks. The house is surrounded by lush, Cost Rican jungle, so it is not uncommon to see howler monkeys, iguanas and exotic birds from the comfort of your hammock, whilst sipping on a freshly made Mojito.
