Advanced Surfing Clinic

Surfing is perhaps the purest of all the extreme sports, it has an iconic status and proud history. There is a certain romance in surfing which comes from man harnessing some of the world's most beautiful and powerful natural forces.

Our Advanced Surfing Clinic is designed for surfers that have been surfing for a while and feel that they are not progressing. Whether you are trying to master the cutback with buckets of spray! Or just want to have a good looking bottom turn, we can help! We have selected some of the UK's finest surfing locations and with our British Surfing Association qualified coaches you can expect to receive the best possible instruction from masters of their trade!

This course is aimed at people who are confident and accomplished surfers, wanting to progress further with the aid of top level Surfing Instructors, many of whom have surfed worldwide and have a string of Competitive results behind them. You will be boosting airs in no time!

The advanced surfer clinic is for surfers who are surfing regularly and have developed their surfing and confidence in the water over a number of years. It is based very much on the individual and can be tailored to specific needs. The course will concentrate on more advanced manoeuvres, for example, Cutbacks, snaps, floaters, making bigger and steeper waves, and how to generate more speed, which equals airs! Video analysis may be used to help explain coaching tips and to see where you might be going wrong.

The course comprises of two lessons that can be taken whenever there is ample swell. We recommend that you try and take them as close together as possible. At the end of the course you will hopefully be able to add another trick or two into your repertoire, and who knows, maybe busting out some serious airtime!

Restrictions:
For this course you must have a reasonable level of surfing ability, i.e. be able to surf left and right on green waves and be confident in medium to large surf. Age Restrictions: Min age is 8 (Under18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
In Cornwall this experience requires a minimum of 4 people.

Duration:
The advanced clinic is 4 hours, taken in 2 hour blocks. These can be taken consecutively or over a few days.

What to Wear / Equipment:
You will need to bring your own surfboard and wetsuit. You will need to bring a swim suit & towel, bring sun block if it is hot and a change of warm clothes if it's not.

Group Size / Spectators:
There will be a maximum of 10 students per instructor. Spectators are welcome.

Weather:
Surfing courses can be weather dependent and in extreme circumstances the course may be affected. Please check with the centre prior to arrival.

Availability:
Surfing is available all year (it's cold in the winter though!)
