The area of Mazatlan offers the perfect mixture of partying and relaxing, great value and luxury all in one great surf trip. On the south side of town is El Centro, here you will find the market, where the locals set up shop and everything from pig heads to hammocks and t-shirts; the Plaza Machado, which is lined with a variety of excellent restaurants and shops, then you have El Faro lighthouse, which is the second highest natural lighthouse in the world and provides a great view of the city and just like Acapulco you will find skin divers who jump off the high rock formations into shallow ocean below and risk their lives for tips from the onlooking tourists! To the north is the Zona Dorado, which means "Golden Zone", and it is definitely this and lives up to its name, with many of the large resorts, lots of restaurants (ranging from taco to Italian cuisine), shops, bars and nightclubs. Mazatlans Zona Dorado is like a small town with in a town, with just about anything you find with in 10 minutes walk. SURFING: The best surfing season for good sized swell is April through to October, however November to March the conditions are also good but slightly smaller and the water cooler compared to the summer months.

5:45am Breakfast
6:00am Leave for surf beach to catch morning glass
1:00pm Lunch back at house
4:00pm Sunset surf or activity
6:00pm Dinner at the house

All this optional, but its very popular with the early start.

Accommodation Details

Your accommodation is rather special and is with in our own Xoxxi surf house located in a private gated community on the beach front. Rooms have a number of beds and are clean and tidy, there are 4 beds per room, and a bathroom for each room. The house has a Kitchen, Laundry Room, Balcony with an ocean view and private beach access. The surf house has a swimming pool, big screen TV with American Channels and we also have Wi-Fi access.

We supply a pre-surf breakfast, post surf lunch, dinner with authentic Mexican dishes, towels, bottle water, sodas and coffee and a stocked refrigerator and kitchen cabinets (snacks, sandwich supplies etc...).

OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Surfing is our main priority but just in case you are tired or are looking for something different to do our surf guides will take you out to enjoy some of the other activities that Mazatlan has to offer.

This includes perhaps a Tequila Tour to the famous Los Osuna Blue Agave Factory which is the only Tequila factory in the region and this Tequila is only available for purchase in this region and is "Very Good".

Or why not, go snorkelling or watch the Cliff divers and finally you could drop into the Pacifico Beer factory, the guides will take you through the factory and show you how the beer is made and bottled.

GETTING HERE:
Mazatlán is very easy to get to. America West files direct from Phoenix. Continental Airlines flies non-stop from Houston. Mexicana has flights to Mazatlán from Los Angeles, Chicago and Denver and connects from many other cities throughout the United States and Mexico. Alaska Airlines flies from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Aeromexico connects all flights through Mexico City or Hermosillo. Aero California flies direct from Los Angeles.
