The county of Donegal contains more climbable rock than the rest of Ireland boasting two major Irish mountain ranges, over thousand kilometres of coastline, one hundred sea stacks and many diverse climbing locations from the mudstone roofs at Muckross in the South West of the county to the Granite slabs of Malin Head, Ireland's most northerly point. Donegal currently plays host a lifetimes worth of world class rock climbing in some of the most beautiful and unspoilt places in Ireland. The scope for further exploration and the opportunity to discover unclimbed rock is unlimited, as there is an unexplored adventure waiting through every mountain pass and around every remote headland.

SEA STACK CLIMBING IN DONEGAL, IRELAND.

At Unique Ascent we provide a range of unique guiding and instructional packages tailored to take you safely to the summits of the most outstanding Sea Stacks in Ireland and the UK. What is involved in an average sea stack climbing day will take you way beyond any other currently available adventurous activity in Ireland. We will take you to places that have been visited fewer times than the moon.

ADVENTURE CLIMBING IN DONEGAL, IRELAND

This is a unique course teaching the techniques used by a very small group of climbers in the activity known as Adventure Climbing. Adventure climbing is the sport of seeking out unclimbed rock in unusual, remote and difficult to access locations. The techniques taught during this course have been developed and practiced by myself over many years and have allowed me to safely access and climb new routes in many diverse and outstandingly beautiful locations. During your stay in Donegal we will visit several very adventurous locations, where we will employ a suitable mixture of guiding and instructional techniques to ensure your safety, enjoyment and continued recreational development.
