You want to come surfing in Peniche and don’t need to take any classes. With this option, you’ll have the lodgings you choose (“Cool” or “Superior”) and a surfboard + wetsuit for the duration of your stay.
Baleal Surf Camp is a small family run business based in Peniche Portugal with the prime beach-side location in one of Europe’s most consistent and flexible surf spots.
It was the first surf camp to be established in Portugal when we started in 1993 and – by focusing on customer service and the environment – it has grown to become one of the best known and best loved surf schools on the Atlantic.
The surf camp has a laid-back vibe and accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. Free internet access at the office next to the Surf House. Note: only available in low season, 10% discount if you have your own equipment. Access to Quiksilver wetsuits and Fatum surfboards special discounts.

From Lisbon
Travelling from Lisbon – Take the A8 Highway. On the A8, drive towards Peniche exiting via the IP6 off-ramp. At the last roundabout (Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem roundabout) and before you enter Peniche turn right in the direction of Baleal. You’ll find Surf House, and the Baleal Surf Camp offices, just past the Baleal Sol Village hotel and the Camping Park.
From Oporto
Travelling from Porto – Take the A1 highway travelling towards Lisbon. On the A1, exit via the 6A off-ramp and take the A15 Highway travelling towards Caldas Rainha / Rio Maior / Óbidos. The A15 connects to the A8 Highway. On the A8, exit via the IP6 off-ramp and travel towards Peniche. At the last roundabout (Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem roundabout) and before you enter Peniche turn right in the direction of Baleal. You’ll find Surf House, and the Baleal Surf Camp offices, just past the Baleal Sol Village hotel and the Camping Park. |

The Hostel accommodation is our most economical option. This kind of shared lodging, where you share the house with the other guests. It’s ideal for getting to know people from the world over, in a youthful and relaxed ambiance. The Surf House Hostel and the Village House Hostel are our two houses. They’re both located just 200m from the beach, and from various Baleal surf spots.
Hostel accommodation includes: accommodation in a shared room, bed linen and blankets included, equipped kitchen for self catering, WiFi, cleaning of the accommodation every two days, free pass for the weekend parties at Bruno's Bar.
