Cortegaça (Core-tei-gassa) is a very small and relaxed fishing village, located 25 km south of the city of Porto! Its traditional flair, not over run by mass tourism, still lets you experience the real Portuguese lifestyle!
North Portugal is probably the most uncrowded surfing spot in Portugal, it is both undiscovered and has no mass tourism unlike south west Portugal. In the summer, the swells are warm and empty as the roll into the lovely sandy beaches that makes up this picturesque coastline. Every corner, you will find explored waves or at least it will seem that way and you will enjoy catching as many waves in crowdless conditions as you feel you wish to.
You will spend your day between the beach and your chosen accommodation, where you can relax and just enjoy the warm temperatures of the summer and the lovely Portugal way of life.Then, when you fancy paddling out to surf again, you can simple do so in less than 2 minutes... Now that's "lifes a beach" experience that only Xoxxi can bring you in association with it surf camp supply. One of the nicest experiences is to have a nice warm shower right after the surf with your wetsuit still on and then you are just ready to chill and relax for what ever you feel like doing. This surf camp is all about being quiet and relaxing at great value.
Surfing lessons are conducted in English, German and Portuguese for beginners to intermediate surfers, including surf equipment rental. Great multicultural atmosphere and great location right behind the dune and under the green roof of pine trees!
Cortegaça beach and nearby surf spots offer optimal learning conditions for every level of surfing, with several sandbanks and breaks in walking range. These safe beach breaks receive consistent north western swells, for fun in the water! The knowledge of this coastline guarantees that our surf coaches will take you to the best spot of the day.
