ERICEIRA SURFING HOLDAYS
It's repeated so often that it's almost become a cliché but Ericeira really is is the Mecca of Portuguese surfing. This has to be one of the best surf zones in Europe, this stretch of coast could have been designed by a surfer, no more than a few kilometers long, it's crammed with world class reef and point breaks.
The quiet little town of Ericeira is littered with surfers from all over the world and yet the towns inhabitants and local fihermen go about their daily business seemingly oblivious to the epic surf breaking all around them.
OUR Surf Camp 101 holidays are designed around beginner and intermediate surfers.
(You are considered beginner, if you've never tried surfing before. You are considered intermediate, if you've had lessons before or you want to refresh what you've learnt and push your personal surfing level.
Surfing lessons will be for 5 hours per day, in two sessions. You will surf at a spot suited to your skill level. The theory lessons & video analysis are included in the sessions and will be held at the camp.
Your surfing accommodation is an Old farmhouse (quinta) set in 6000 sq metres of lush gardens with a private 10m x 6m swimming pool. The house has it all, BBQ area, chill zone, games, DVD's...

THE FOOD
Breakfast is included everyday and the crew are up bright and early preparing a good and solid breakfast, including freshly squeezed orange juice. If you'd like the crew will cook or grill for you every day (the kitchen is only closed once a week). One dinner is included in the price of the camp and if once you arrive you decide to join the other house guests for meals it will only cost you 8-12 euros per meal. You could also drive into Ericeira 6 km's away and eat in one of the little restaurants. |

ERICEIRA SURF CAMP - SURFING ACCOMMODATION
The Quinta (Portuguese villa) is located five minutes drive from the beach and is set in lush gardens of over 6000 square meters. The villa has a swimming pool, gardens, BBQ and chill out area.
The house is located within a five minute drive from São Julião beach. The pool and bar and the chill area are probably where you'll spend most of your time. BBQ sessions and Pool parties are a regular occurance and the Caipirinhas seem to be very popular ;-). Before the BBQ starts you can burn off what's left of your energy playing table tennis, football or beach volleyball in the garden.
If you've had enough fresh air for one day, you can spend some time in the chill out room, full-equipped with Playstation, TV, DVD palyer, sound system and Magazines.
THE ROOMS
The rooms on the first floor have 2-4 beds and every two rooms share one bathroom. Another big 6 persons bedroom is on the ground floor, close to the garden and pool. All rooms have single-, double-, or bunk beds and space for your personal stuff.
So you'll be staying in double rooms, or 3-6 people rooms. The crew and especially the onsite house manager and chef will take care of all your culinary and entertainment needs including serving you your Caipirinhas, beer, wine or fruit juices at the end a long day at the beach. |
