EL Salvador - Surf Camp
El Salvador is the smallest but most densely populated country in Central America. Situated between Guatemala and Honduras, it has recently become a prime but yet unknown surf destination. It offers pristine beaches, incredible waves, tropical conditions throughout the year and best of all no crowds! El Salvador's 200 miles of Pacific coastline can be roughly divided into two surfing zones: La Libertad, south of the capital San Salvador, and the East Coast, about three hours drive down the coast. El Salvador is well known for its right-hand cobblestone and sand point breaks that rival the best in the world. However, it also has everything from world class hollow waves, to classic points, to fun beach breaks. There are still waves to be discovered, come join us on this quest!

Mizata
This beach have a couple different waves. A cobble stone right break, breaking close to an impressive cliff, is especially good at low tide to avoid the backwash from the cliff and a A-frame beach break at the other side of the beach, really shallow, good tubes can be found there and a slab only for the experienced or local surfers.
Las Flores
This is an awesome wave breaking on a point full of palm trees. The wave starts in front of a rocky point in a fast hollow section and keeps on breaking on a sand bottom just to get curdled again for more speed and more barreling sections on the way to shore. It is a fun wave for the medium to experienced surfers. The tides play an important factor on these waves and some currents can be found. Excellent at low tide.
Punta Mango
This is a fast hollow wave breaking on a cobble stone point surrounded by beautiful mountains. This is a tube addict's paradise, there is not a single local at this spot, get ready for a lot of speed and unforgettable tubes, this is the east coast version of the perfect wave.
La Ventana
A nice beach break for smaller days, pure fun in 2 to 5 feet swell range. At La Ventana beach the mountains meet the ocean in the shape of a window, making this beach an special spot to rip some waves.
There are more right points for you to discover, just come along and see them for yourself! |
